Privacy policy

Last updated: 15 October 2026.

1. Data controller

Olivier Van Triel, Experience Designer, operating under the structure Owlistic Design, société en commandite (SComm) — Route de Petit-Roeulx 40, 7090 Braine-le-Comte, Belgium, business registration number (BCE) / VAT BE 1020.672.701 — is the controller for personal data collected on this site.olivierowlistic-designbe

2. Data collected

This site has no form. If you email me, the data you share (name, email address, organisation, message) is only received in Olivier Van Triel's mailbox, like any other email.

If you accept it in the consent banner, Google Analytics 4 measures your visit: pages viewed, landing page, where the visit came from (search engine, link, direct), device type, approximate country and city, and clicks to the Contact page or the email address. This data does not identify you by name. Without your consent, none of it is collected.

3. Purposes of processing

Data sent by email via the Contact page is used solely to respond to your request (pre-contractual exchange, professional outreach). Audience measurement is only used to learn which pages are read and how the site is found, in order to improve it.

4. Legal basis

Processing is based on Olivier Van Triel's legitimate interest in responding to contact requests addressed to him, and, where applicable, on pre-contractual measures necessary to enter into an assignment. Audience measurement is based on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

5. Retention period

Email exchanges are kept for as long as necessary to process the request and any resulting professional relationship, then archived or deleted in line with the usual retention periods for professional correspondence. Detailed Google Analytics data is kept for 14 months; your banner choice is remembered for 13 months in your browser.

6. Data recipients

Data sent by email is only accessible to Olivier Van Triel. Audience data is processed by Google Ireland Limited as a processor; it may be transferred to the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. No data is sold, rented or transferred to third parties for commercial purposes.

7. Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and object to the processing of your personal data, as well as a right to data portability where applicable. To exercise these rights, contact: olivierowlistic-designbe.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (APD) — autoriteprotectiondonnees.be.

8. Cookies

Only after your consent, Google Analytics sets two cookies, _ga and_ga_PHQCH4CBEM, valid for 13 months. Your choice itself is kept in your browser's local storage (ovt-consent), not in a cookie.

You can change your mind at any time with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page.

9. Changes

This privacy policy may be updated to reflect the site's evolution (a new tool, a form...). The last update date appears at the top of this page.
